One method is to use modular construction, which has the advantage of reducing building time by 50%. Tour companies score so-so sales for Patriots’ London game

More than 200 New England Patriots [team stats] fans jetted off to London this week to see the hometown team play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Wembley Stadium, but tour operators say sales don’t compare to other more popular sports trips. “I was happy to sell about 250 Pats/Wembley packages in this economy,” said Daniel Pranks, founder of New England Sports Tours. “But the event is nowhere near as big as the Super Bowl or Doug Flutie’s appearance in the Cotton Bowl, when we took 2,000, or the 1,200 we take on our party train to New York when the Sox play the Yankees.”

Travel letters: A package of lies

It irks me that so many travel companies still attempt to disguise the full cost of advertised flights and travel packages, to the extent that it almost borders on deceit!

Responsible Travel has ditched offsetting flights and holidays for environmental reasons

For responsible travellers, the impact of flyingon the environment is difficult to ignore and carbon offsets have become an established tool to reduce the impact of holidaying. Offsetting has been embraced by the travel and tourism industry at large, too. Sedona hoping to escape tourism backlash

Tour guide Dennis Andres was giving a talk on vortexes at a Sedona resort on Monday, but the guests were most interested in another topic: the deaths of two tourists during a pricey New Age retreat last week. "There were just tons of questions about the tragedy," the founder of Sedona Private Guides and self-described Mr. Sedona said. Tourism-dependent businesses like his hope the international publicity over the deaths during a sweat-lodge ceremony don't dent Sedona's reputation as a spiritual mecca and further hurt a visitor industry stung deeply by the recession. Sedona-area hotel occupancy year to date through August is off 16 percent and revenue is down 23 percent, according to Smith Travel Research.
